Today I spent my day warming up soup, washing walls, warming up soup, washing walls, serving soup, washing walls, making coffee and washing walls. Did I mention that I washed walls?? Oh my stars. I've made it a personal job to clean the Salvation Army kitchen because, honestly, I thought it was pretty gross. It may just be my high clean standards, but I think not. So now my mornings are littered with wall washing, freezer organising and vacuuming (vacuum is sucha weird word...2 u's...how silly. I thought one would do the trick. I guess not.) So now I have headaches from the heat and the cleaning products. Opening the window helps a little, but not much. And I usually forget to close the windows anyways. But I'll tell you what. The walls are white. They used to be a yellowish with red spots but now, now my friends they are white.
Next week I'm housemanagers with Alex. So far I've been housemanagers with Stephen, Nicole and Courtney. I'm running out on people to be housemanagers with! Oh dear, we'll have to start recruiting, or I'll just have to put up with some of them again. I like the recruiting idea.
Kiding!!! I still get along with my group mates. There are times when I can't stand them, but I've found ways to deal. Usually they involve me finding fault with my behaviour (like my new fickleness for being orderly...I swear I'm borderline OCD) or I tell them what I'm having a problem with using the "I" statements...remember those? From conflict resolution workshops. Apparently when you say "I am bothered by this because..." then they recieve it better. I guess it works. It sounds silly out loud though. I've tried it. Very awkward.
Guess what? 3rd day in a row!!! And I'm going to post right after this...freaky.
